Continuing with the signing day theme, here’s All-Inter-Ac selection Anna Ludwick signing with George Mason University and here’s the accompanying press release from AIS.
Senior Anna Ludwick of Chester Springs, Pa. signed a Letter of Intent with George Mason University to continue her soccer career at the Division I collegiate level. Ludwick will graduate from The Agnes Irwin School in June 2013.
Ludwick has been a member of the Varsity soccer team since entering Agnes Irwin as a sophomore. She has been a member of the Athletic Association at Agnes Irwin for three years and has served as a class representative each year. As a sophomore, Ludwick received All-Main Line Honorable Mention. As a senior, Ludwick served as tri-captain for the Agnes Irwin’s Varsity soccer team and was named First Team All-InterAc, First Team All-Main Line and Second Team All-Delco.
“These past three years at Agnes Irwin have been unforgettable. I have grown so much as a person and will leave with great memories. I’m really excited about my future at George Mason University and playing soccer as a Patriot at the D1 level, “ Ludwick said.
At the end of her senior season in November 2012, Ludwick received the Excellence Award from AIS head soccer coach, Nick Spillane.
“She has shown herself to be an excellent athlete as well as a great leader, teammate and great young lady. As a school, we have been very lucky to have had our winner in our midst for the past three years. Our loss is definitely George Mason’s gain!” said Spillane, before presenting Ludwick with the award in the fall.
Ludwick has been a student tour guide at AIS for the past three years and is a member of Investment Club.
