All-American and all-region selections were made public two weeks ago by the Eastern Pennsylvania Lacrosse Coaches Association. Friday, that group followed with Academic All-Americas, which included 11 players from the region, three hailing from Delco schools.
Among the honorees are Penncrest senior attackman/midfielder Nate Reagle and the Garnet Valley duo of Connor Faith and Dylan Lee.
Reagle scored three goals to go with an assist this season for the Central League co-champion Lions. He was part of Penncrest’s run to the PIAA title last season.
Faith, a short-stick defensive midfielder, helped form the spine of a solid defensive team that earned the Jaguars the other half of the league title, the first in program history. Faith scored two goals to go with one assist. He’ll attend Carnegie-Mellon in the fall. Faith was also an All-Delco linebacker in the fall.
Lee, an attack-minded midfielder, recovered from serious knee surgery last season to score 16 goals and add three assists as a vital cog in Garnet Valley’s balanced and multi-faceted offense. He scored in eight consecutive games spanning the end of the regular season and start of the postseason, including four times in a win over Avon Grove May 2. Originally committed to play at the Air Force Academy, Lee will attend the University of California Berkeley. Garnet Valley is the only school with two representatives.
