Five Delco boys basketball teams still have life in the PIAA Tournament, which begins Friday. With 80 percent of the Delco boys hoops squads done for the season, we can paint a pretty accurate picture of that final stat leaders in the county.
It’s probably safe to declare Penn Wood’s Malik Jackson as the scoring champ, edging out Marple Newtown’s Nick Giordano two points (Jackson played one fewer game this season). Jackson is also the king of 3-pointers, a position that is likely safe unless Nolan Carroll leads Penncrest on a long states run, while Giordano has a sizeable but not insurmountable edge over Archbishop Carroll’s Derrick Jones in our new posted category, field goals made. There’s also a great chance that Radnor’s Mason Ressler earns the crown as the county’s free throw champ, with the numbers updated to indicate how many FTs each of the leaders has shot.
