We’ve got boys and girls basketball in Delco covered from just about every angle with an eight-page special section in Friday’s paper that includes features, capsules on every one of Delco’s teams, Super 7s and players to watch in the county, plus full season schedules. It’s a copy you’ll definitely want to grab.

When it comes time for the stories, you can find them all at our GameTimePA page. From Matt Smith, our girls basketball writer, we have the story of Cardinal O’Hara’s youth aspiring to challenge Bonner-Prendergast atop the Catholic League. In the Central League, both Radnor and Garnet Valley are looking to replicate their stellar campaigns of a season ago, while Episcopal Academy is hopeful that a third straight Inter-Ac title in the works. Champions Penn Wood and The Christian Academy are also looking to repeat last season’s success.

From our boys beatwriter Matthew De George, it’s all about teams looking to fill gaping voids in their trophy cases. Archbishop Carroll has a star-studded lineup that appears poised to do great things. Haverford School’s long Inter-Ac title drought could be nearing its end if the pieces fall together properly, plus a roundup of all the other miscellaneous teams in the county. In the Del Val League, Chester and Penn Wood are at opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to the height of their rosters. The tale of the Central League, meanwhile, seems to be adjusting to departures. Finally, here’s the preseason Super 7, the first chance at ranking the county’s best.
