Boys Basketball: Alston, Jolaoso named All-Inter-Ac

A season ago, Haverford School’s Shawn Alston shared the Inter-Ac MVP honors with a Germantown Academy player.

This year, the honor belonged solely to one of the Patriots.

GA’s Tim Guers earned Inter-Ac player of the year honors, as voted on by league coaches. The junior Alston earned a spot on the first team alongside Episcopal Academy junior guard Mike Jolaoso. Penn Charter senior Sean O’Brien was the only upperclassmen on the first team. The first team is composed of five guards, while four forwards highlight the second team. (Again, we had no hand in picking this.)

Alston’s Haverford School teammates Lamar Stevens and Eric Anderson made the second team, as did Episcopal Academy freshman Nick Alikakos and senior Chris McNeal. McNeal was a first-teamer a season ago. Alikakos is the only freshman on the first two teams.
