Girls Basketball: Super 7, Jan. 22

Well, all that white fluffy stuff is putting a damper on the high school sports schedule, so to kill time, enjoy my latest girls basketball Super 7

1. Cardinal O’Hara (10-4): Not going anywhere yet, but ugly loss at Arch. Wood could hurt staying power.

2. Bonner-Prendergast (13-2): Pandas poised to parlay big win over Mount St. Joe’s into Archbishop Wood Friday night. And if they can beat the Vikings, they’ll be back atop the Super 7 next week.

3. Garnet Valley (15-1): Still undefeated in the Central League, still the top public-school team in Delco until someobdy steps in and does something about it.

4. Archbishop Carroll (8-6): Haven’t put it all together yet, but let’s see how they do at home Saturday against O’Hara

5. Ridley (13-3): With four straight wins, the Raiders are a tough team that might be the one in the Central League that can beat Garnet Valley this winter. We’ll see.

6. Episcopal Academy (7-4): Win over Germantown Academy could make them the favorite to repeat as Inter-Ac champs. Still a long ways to go, though.

7. Penn Wood (10-3): Top dog in the Del Val League, for sure, and one of the most exciting teams to watch in the county.
