Our wrestling writer Pete Schnatz was on hand to see Glen Mills handle Penn Wood on the mats, while the Upper Darby lightweight prowess led them to a come-from-behind win over Strath Haven, the lead to our Central League roundup. It was a light night for hoops, but that didn’t stop Archbishop Carroll boys from getting back on the winning track. On the girls side, Matt Smith caught up with Upper Darby All-Delco Diamon Beckford, who is back coaching at her alma mater. On the court that night, the Christian Academy took it to Kings Christian in the only game. Emily Kilgore’s contributions weren’t enough as Bonner-Prendergast dropped a bowling match, while Ben Glidden was the hero in goal for Episcopal Academy. In the pool, Johnny Truax made the difference late in the meet as Marple Newtown toppled Garnet Valley, while Upper Darby’s Samantha Campbell led her team over Penncrest’s Mary Kate Boylan in a battle of sprinters.
