It was one of the busiest days of the year on the basketball court, and we had you covered from every angle. For the girls, Garnet Valley kept rolling at its home tournament behind the contributions of Haley Warden et al. in a win over Henderson. The rest of the girls basketball action is led by a historic evening by Rylee Power, who scored 40 points in Marple Newtown’s holiday tournament win. On the boys side, Archbishop Carroll went up against a familiar face in Lower Merion transfer Nick Jones, but the Patriots got the better of the Aces, and then some. The roundup of the rest of the boys hoops games leads with Mike Jolaoso’s buzzer beater to lead Episcopal Academy. On the wrestling mats, it was the non-Delco teams who had the best day at Delco Duels, but that didn’t stop Episcopal’s AJ Cutrufello from having a 5-0 day.
