There was plenty for Cardinal O’Hara field hockey to celebrate about after beating Archbishop Carroll for the Catholic League title.

Ed. note: I’ve been pretty terrible about posting these on a daily basis, but here’s me making an effort to get back into the swing of it.

After three anguishing losses in the Catholic League title game to Archbishop Carroll, Cardinal O’Hara field hockey finally broke through with a 2-1 overtime win on a goal from Sarah Quintus, which you can watch here.

It was Senior Day for Notre Dame field hockey, but the Irish relied on a freshman in Quinn Maguire to upend the Hill School, 4-2.

The Irish’s volleyball team did quite well, too, as the Inter-Ac champions rolled to a 3-0 sweep of Springside Chestnut Hill.

Delco Christian girls soccer came up just short of a District One Class A championship via a 3-2 overtime loss to Christopher Dock.

The fall sports notebook previews the state cross country meet with a look at Catholic League powerhouse Cardinal O’Hara, which has come oh-so-close to a state title two straight years.
