Aaric Murray is hoping that the third school is the charm.
After being dismissed from La Salle and West Virginia, the Glen Mills All-Delco is reportedly headed to Texas Southern, as first reported by TigerFans.net, a TSU message board.
The star-crossed former Battlin’ Bull has one year of eligibility remaining and is eligible to play right away since he’s already graduated. Murray averaged 17.5 points, 12.4 rebounds and three blocks per game as a senior, when he helped the Battlin’ Bulls earn their first PIAA Class AAAA tournament win in five years.

Penn Wood’s Tyree Bynum, right, and Glen Mills’ Aaric Murray will play together for Texas Southern.

Of course, Houston, Texas is as natural a place for a Delco connection as any. Murray will team up with Penn Wood 2013 All-Delco and TSU freshman Tyree Bynum. Bynum was apparently one of the people who picked up Murray in West Virginia. The former Patriot led the county in scoring this year at more than 20 points per game. The duo will try to help the Tigers improve on last year’s 17-14 record.
Texas Southern visits Fran Dunphy’s Temple squad, so Aaric and Tyree will have a homecoming game.
The best thing La Salle ever did was kick this loser’s butt to the curb!
