Down two goals with less than 90 seconds to play in the District One semifinal against Radnor, Garnet Valley boys lacrosse never faltered. It paid off as Jonathan Vandenberg tied the game with seconds to go and set up Matt Taulane‘s overtime winner as the Jaguars beat the Red Raiders, 7-6. On the girls side, Springfield used Autumn Spence‘s devastating injury as a rallying cry to beat Boyertown, 13-12. In the playback round, Strath Haven started out ice-cold, but Kristen Hansen capped a wild comeback win with an overtime tally to beat Garnet Valley, 7-6. In baseball action, a bullpen battle didn’t go Delco Christian’s way in a 9-5 loss to Church Farm. Garnet Valley readies itself for a battle with Central Bucks East.
