Rondae Hollis-Jefferson is looking to go worldwide yet again.
Hollis-Jefferson, the first player in county history to be named the two-time Daily Times Player of the Year, accepted an invitation to try out for the U.S. U19 National team at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.. June 14. The five-day camp will look to pare down a list of 24 players to a 12-man roster.
The Chester point forward led the Clippers to a third straight appearance in the state title game by averaging 15.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 2.8 steals and 2.4 blocks per game. A five-star recruit who inked a Letter of Intent to sign with Arizona, Hollis-Jefferson will look to join a team coached by Florida boss Billy Donovan, Virginia Commonwealth’s Shaka Smart and Virginia’s Tony Bennett.
Villanova freshman guard Ryan Arcidiacono, who was named to the Big East’s All-Rookie team, will join Jefferson at the camp with hopes of making the team for a tournament that runs from June 27 to July 7 in Prague, Czech Republic.
