Can two-time All-Delco Alex Poplawski lead Springfield to a District One title?
TIMES STAFF/JULIA WILKINSON

Made some boys picks earlier. I’ll be happy to get better than 50 percent on those. In order to make sure I upset more people, I’m going to also make predictions for the girls tournament. Away we go!

First Round

Radnor over Upper Merion

Downingtown East over Spring-Ford

Villa Maria over Hatboro-Horsham

Garnet Valley over Souderton

Strath Haven over Springfield (Montco)

Haverford over Kennett

Harriton over C.B. East

Villa Maria over Downingtown West

Great Valley over Jenkintown

North Penn over Upper Dublin

Boyertown over Unionville

W.C. Henderson over Wissahickon

Springfield over Council Rock South

Pennsbury over Owen J. Roberts

Conestoga over Lower Merion

Mount St. Joseph over C.B. West

Second Round

Radnor over Downingtown East

Garnet Valley over Villa Maria

Strath Haven over Haverford

Harriton over Merion Mercy

Great Valley over North Penn

Boyertown over W.C. Henderson

Springfield over Pennsbury

Conestoga over Mount St. Joseph

Quarterfinals

Radnor over Garnet Valley

Strath Haven over Harriton

Great Valley over Boyertown

Conestoga over Springfield

Semifinals

Strath Haven over Radnor

Conestoga over Great Valley

Final

Strath Haven over Conestoga

Six qualifying teams

Strath Haven, Conestoga, Radnor, Great Valley, Garnet Valley, Springfield.

Remember, if I picked against you, it’s because I hate your school and am rooting for you to lose. All kidding aside, I spent a good 20 minutes re-aligning my quarterfinals through finals picks, so you know there’s a TON of confidence to go along with those picks. It wouldn’t surprise me if any of the top six Central League teams win.
