Bri Irons, left, and Strath Haven claimed a 12-11 win over Harriton to seal a share of the Central League title for the Panthers, Rams, Springfield and Radnor.

There won’t be one Central League girls lacrosse champion. Instead, Strath Haven’s 12-11 win over Harriton made sure four teams got a piece of it. On the boys side, a relentless defensive effort from Dan Smyth and Springfield helped the Cougars roll to a 9-1 win over Haverford. On the diamond, Chichester baseball’s Brian Snyder weathered a rain delay before helping the Eagles pound Academy Park, 13-3. The weekly notebook takes a look at Chester’s attempts to revitalize its program. Finally, the rest of the schools roundup leads with Notre Dame golf’s fourth straight perfect season.
