Things looked bleak for Strath Haven baseball’s odds of staying unbeaten, but a little late magic from Rob Straff kept the goose egg intact in a 4-3 win over Marple Newtown. Staying with Strath Haven, the Panthers’ softball team hasn’t been as fortunate as the baseball counterparts. The weekly notebook takes a look at Haven’s struggles. The rest of the schools roundup leads with Strath Haven’s Ethan Tashman and Ben Geiger teaming up to help the Panthers’ tennis team vault past Penncrest, 5-2.
