Taking centerstage Thursday, as it will the rest of this weekend, is the action down at Franklin Field for Penn Relays. The highlight Thursday was Alicia Collier giving it her all in a scintillating race between Penncrest and Strath Haven in the 4 x 100 relay, plus all the other high school action. On the lacrosse field, Grace Collins back-stopped Radnor’s win over Strath Haven; for the boys, Brian Todaro helped Springfield to a pivotal win over Ridley. The lacrosse notebook features the exploits of Interboro’s Sami Barnett. On the softball diamond, Agnes Irwin’s Katie Wenger outdueled Episcopal Academy’s Alex Viscusi in a battle of star pitchers. The rest of the schools is led by an all-around performance by Cardinal O’Hara’s Nick Donovan in downing St. Joe’s Prep.
