You may have caught it in the roundup, but Wednesday’s triumph by Haverford School over Upper Darby, 7-1, was the 300th win in the coaching career of Fords skipper Bob Castell. Castell has coached at the school since 1993 and has produced two of the last six Daily Times baseball players of the year (Matt Lengel in 2010 and Mike Galetta in 2007.)

A six-spot in the fourth inning led the way for the Fords, who got two hits each from Chris Sukonik and Drew Field. Five fords drove in a run in support of winning pitcher Connor Burke.
