Penncrest’s girls 4 x 400 team of Alana Blessington, Katie Arbogast, Briane Artis and Alicia Collier is getting pretty close to its goal of a 3:55 race at the Penn Relays by turning in a 3:57.20 at the Delaware County Girls Track Relays. Sun Valley two-sport All-Delco Gia DeAngelo was up to her old tricks at the Hero Scholarship All-Star Game, this time with a buzzer-beater to help the East claim a 64-62 win over the West. In boys track action, Cecil Simpson, Jason John, Ghassan Dix and Akiem Thomas sparked Upper Darby’s big day at the 43rd Track & Field Coaches Association of Greater Philadelphia Spring Invitational. The rest of the high school action leads with Peter Blynn and Grant Ament leading The Haverford School’s lacrosse team past Salisbury (Conn.), the No. 3 team in the land, by a 13-11 score.
