The class that had made so much history for Chester boys basketball couldn’t quite cap it off with a third straight state title in a 63-47 loss to Lower Merion. The loss marked the end of an incredible era for the Clippers. For the new state champs, it was B.J. Johnson slinging the monkey off of his back with a primetime performance. Here’s a slideshow of the tremendously-talented Eric Hartline‘s pictures from the game. Aces coach Gregg Downer talks about beating Chester.

Emily Paulus‘ five-goal, two-assist performance sent Springfield past West Chester East, 16-4, in girls lacrosse action to lead the rest of the schools roundups.
