Shannon Quinn, left, and Kyla Crombie helped Radnor make history with a 47-39 win over Conestoga for the first Central League title in school history.

History was made in Newtown Square as Radnor girls basketball knocked off Main Line rival Conestoga, 47-39, for the school’s first Central League championship. Matt Smith explains how everything went down. On the boys side, David almost took out Goliath, but Ridley ended up falling just short of Lower Merion, 57-50Matthew De George tells the tale. The rest of the high school action leads with Radnor hockey’s Oliver Brotman sniping four goals and Tom Hemcher stopping 31 shots to lead the Red Raiders to a 6-4 win over Penncrest.
