Chester’s Kameron Staples has the best of both worlds, as Harry Chaykun explains. Staples is the top-ranked student in Chester’s 2013 class and he sprinted past the competition to claim the 400-meter dash title at the Delco Boys Indoor Track Championships in a time of 52.76. The Haverford School’s Sam Bowen is well on his way to his goal of not losing to archrival Episcopal Academy in his senior as Matt Chandik explains. The Fords’ senior sparked a 7-2 rout of the Churchmen in an Independence Hockey League gameSteve Lienert‘s wrestling notebook takes a look at Delco Christian’s Yangzi Jiang, who is a one-legged exchange student from China.  Also on the wrestling front, Interboro roared back from a 25-0 deficit to claim a 40-25 win over Academy Park to clinch the Del Val title. The swimming roundup leads with Strath Haven’s Frances Resweber and Kate Willis breaking records despite the Panthers’ 105-81 loss to Haverford. The rest of the high school action leads with Notre Dame two-time All-Delco Megan McGurk bumped up to No. 2 on the school’s career scoring list when she scored 22 points in a 51-25 rout of Strath Haven.
