Matt Chandik was on hand to see Dan Rutecki play the hero as Springfield topped Radnor in boys basketball action Tuesday, plus the rest of the boys games. For the girls, Matt Smith saw Interboro’s Olivia Encarnacion get her 1,000th point, but Chelsea Dent and Penn Wood got the last laugh in a Del Val win, leading the girls basketball roundup. Speaking of 1,000-point clubs, Sun Valley’s Gia DeAngelo also entered that sorority Tuesday night, as Matt’s notebook tells. Terry Toohey looks ahead to Wednesday’s Indoor Delcos on the track, while Matt Haigh’s record-setting performance in the pool for Haverford School leads the schools roundup.
