Interboro’s Olivia Encarnacion is looking to become just the fourth player in program history to score 1,000 points. Times staff / JULIA WILKINSON

Sun Valley’s Gia DeAngelo — who will be featured in Wednesday’s Girls Basketball Notebook — and Interboro’s Olivia Encarnacion are two of possibly three Delco players who will in all likelihood score their 1,000th career point on the same day.

Note: The third player will not be named until I know for sure how many points she needs to score.

DeAngelo needs four points to become the first Sun Valley player since Sami Borcky (2008) to score 1,000. Encarnacion is six points shy, and is looking to become on the fourth player in program history to get there.

DeAngelo and the Vanguards host Great Valley in a critical Ches-Mont League showdown (7:30 start). Meanwhile, Encarnacion and the Bucs look for a big road win at Penn Wood (5:15 tip).  I’ll have full coverage of Encarnacion’s big day in Wednesday’s Delco Times. A victory would give the Bucs at least a share of the Del Val League title.

Here’s a look at Sun Valley and Interboro’s 1,000-point scorers and where those players stand all-time in Delaware County
