Reader Poll: Who is Delco’s best boys soccer striker?

It’s a cold, rainy (and snowy) day, and I’m given to understand this whole voting thing has gotten a bit of publicity lately. So what better time to see what our readers think when it comes to the best scorers in Delaware County.

This year’s striking options form a deep and talented field. There are some outrageous numbers in there, making the job of narrowing down the choices not all that easy on my part.

So, presented in alphabetical order, here are the candidates for you to have your say.

Brett Campbell, Haverford School: 26 goals in 15 games for Inter-Ac champions

Matt Cioeta, Sun Valley: 18 goals and 6 assists in 17 games

Elijah Ema, Penn Wood: school-record 36 goals in 15 games for Del Val champions

Chris Martin, Radnor: 13 goals and 5 assists in 12 games before suffering a knee injury

Evan Needs, Christian Academy: 37 goals and 13 assists in 21 games

Nabieu Sesay, Academy Park: 19 goals in 16 games

  1. Brett is going to Georgetown. Last I heard they were ranked #3 in the nation in division 1 soccer. I’m going to have to say he is the best striker in the county, and possibly the state of PA.
