It’s not the best way for Ridley to start its run in the PIAA Class AAAA tournament.
The Green Raiders were going to have their hands full with District 11 champion Parkland either way, but they’ll have to take on the Trojans without their best rebounder and shot blocker in senior Zain Shaw. The 6-6 center/forward, a versatile big man who can play in the paint but also step out and be a viable 3-point threat and averages 8.9 points per game, will miss Saturday’s game due to a school issue, according to coach Mike Snyder.
The son of Chester’s all-time leading scorer, also named Zain Shaw, the younger Shaw could make his way back into the lineup if Ridley advances.
