Shanice Johnson is the lone Delco girl nominated for the McDonald’s All-American Game.

Three Delaware County basketball players were nominated for the 36th annual McDonald’s All-American Game Thursday, proving once again that there’s quite a bit of talent in this county. Cardinal O’Hara two-time All-Delco forward Shanice Johnson was the lone girl from the county and one of six from Pennsylvania to earn a nomination. On the boys side, Archbishop Carroll All-Delco point guard Yosef Yacob and Chester point forward and reigning Daily Times Player of the Year Rondae Jefferson got the nod.

Could Yosef Yacob be on his way to the Windy City?

The trio will find out whether they’ll play in the April 3 game at the United Center in Chicago during the McDonald’s All-American Game Selection Show on ESPNU Feb. 14 at 5 p.m. 24 boys and 24 girls from across the nation will be chosen to play in the game.
For more information on the game, please visit the game’s official site.
Might we see an encore of this in Chicago?
