Continuing the list of Delco athletes signing Letters of Intent with Division I schools are Springfield lacrosse players Dan Smyth and Alex Poplawski.
Smyth, who signed with St. John’s University, was a second-team All-Central and an honorable mention All-Delco pick a year ago for a Cougars team that went 11-9 and made it to the second round of the District One tournament. Here’s his phillylacrosse.com commitment story.
Poplawski, who inked her Letter of Intent with Stanford, is a two-time All-Delco and two-time All-America pick who helped the Cougars nearly make it back to the state tournament with a 17-6 record.
