Thursday’s Roundups

Here’s all of the action from a jam-packed Thursday.

All Cardinal O’Hara, all the time at the District 12 cross country championships. Harry Chaykun takes a look at how the Lions swept both the boys and girls Class AAA titles.

Bonner-Prendergast also got in on the fun by winning the Class AA boys title, led by a strong day from Will McDermott. Harry Chaykun has that story, too.

Dennis Deitch took in Strath Haven girls soccer’s 1-0 win over Unionville, and came away impressed with Panthers All-Delco Morgan Glassford.

Garnet Valley girls soccer, though, didn’t have the same luck as Haven did, losing 4-0 to Neshaminy. Matthew De George explains how it happened.

Down 2-0 to upstart North Penn, Garnet Valley volleyball rode big performances from All-Delco Ellie Ezekiel and Rebecca Dantonio to a come-from-behind win. Terry Toohey has the story.

Jamie Gallagher set the all-time assists record for Cardinal O’Hara volleyball, which rolled past Archbishop Wood in the Catholic League semifinals. Matt Chandik has the story.

In the other PCL semifinal, defending champion Archbishop Carroll was no match for Lansdale Catholic, despite a strong outing from Sarah Layfield. Matt Chandik has that story, too.

Harry Chaykun has a District One cross country preview, where Strath Haven All-Delco Jack Huemmler and Dylan Butera are expected to have strong performances.

Carli Sitkowski and Grace Cryan led The Christian Academy to a 2-0 win over Pilgrim Academy in the Tri-State Christian Conference playoffs, plus the rest of high school roundups.
